Anna Kern entered a not guilty plea on September 14 in a Geauga County theft case, Cleveland 19 reported in an update to its earlier story. The 76-year-old University Heights resident is accused of taking valuables while cleaning three Bainbridge Township homes.
The station, citing the county prosecutor, reported alleged losses above $29,000 between December 2024 and May 2026. Its updated charge list includes burglary, theft from the elderly and receiving stolen property. These allegations have not been established as findings of guilt.
According to Cleveland 19, the court allowed release on a personal-recognizance bond with supervision. The reported conditions include restrictions on house-cleaning work and contact with the alleged victims. The station did not give a date for the next hearing.
