The Adams County Board of Commissioners has issued a public notice inviting qualified professional firms to submit proposals for floodplain administration and permitting work covering the county's unincorporated territory.

According to the notice, the chosen contractor would help the county carry out obligations tied to the National Flood Insurance Program, along with requirements set by FEMA and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, state law and the county's own flood damage prevention rules.

Proposals must arrive at 215 N Cross Street #102, West Union, Ohio 45693 by 9 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2026, the notice states, adding that submissions must arrive by that time to be considered.

The county says it will provide additional information and a document describing submittal requirements to those who request them. The notice names no contact person, gives no estimated contract value and sets out no performance period.

The notice was published by the Board of Commissioners. The notice does not identify a selected contractor.
