The Fayette County Travel and Tourism Bureau has started taking submissions for its 2027 Tourism Assistance Grant Program, which offers as much as $5,000 per award. Nonprofit and community organizations are the intended applicants.

Funding is tied to projects and events that take place in Fayette County in 2027 and that organizers expect to pull in visitors and boost local recreation. Reviewers also weigh an applicant's organizational stability, backing from the surrounding community, promotional planning and whether the group has raised funds elsewhere.

The awards work through reimbursement rather than upfront payment. Recipients must cover their costs first, then file receipts and supporting records with the bureau to be paid back.

Submissions are due by 4 p.m. Nov. 23. The bureau's board of directors reviews them, and applicants are slated to learn the outcome by Dec. 31.

Guidelines and application forms are available at visitfayco.com/contact-us/grant-program. Executive Director Stephanie Dunham can be reached at 740-335-8008.
