The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority is publicizing transit options for Cleveland Guardians postseason games against the Chicago White Sox scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, and Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, in the American League Divisional Series at Progressive Field. GCRTA states the games are expected to bring thousands downtown and advises riders to plan ahead, leave early, and allow enough time.
According to GCRTA, an all-day pass costs $5, while a one-way fare is $2.50. Passes can be bought through contactless payment, Google Pay, or Apple at Tower City station on the Red, Blue, and Green lines, or via ticket vending machines and the EZfare mobile app. HealthLine and downtown-bound buses reach Public Square, from which riders can continue to the Walkway or the ballpark. Parking at stations is free, and the agency says trains will run frequently.
The authority directs riders to ride the Rapid to Tower City, use the Walkway to Rocket Arena, then walk outside to Progressive Field. The Walkway opens four hours before first pitch, GCRTA says.
A service note: Due to a Green Line shutdown from Oct. 3-6, 2026, Blue and Green trains will operate between Warrensville-Van Aken and Tower City, providing 15-minute frequency at stations along Van Aken Boulevard. #68R buses will run every 30 minutes between Green Road and Shaker Square. GCRTA suggests riders who usually park at Green Road consider parking near Van Aken Boulevard stations for the more frequent service. Schedule details are available at riderta.com and on the Transit App.
