Greater Cleveland's regional transit authority has set Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, for a day of rider outreach it calls Customer Experience Day. The agency says the observance honors riders along with the districts, departments and people it credits with going beyond the ordinary in service.
Staff from the GCRTA Customer Experience team are to be on hand at five Bus/Rapid stations and one downtown location. Tower City Station's rotunda area is listed for 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Cedar-University, Louis Stokes-Windermere, West Park and West 25th stations are scheduled from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. The Downtown Cleveland Public Square area is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Riders who visit can greet team members, recount a transit experience, take a refreshment, be photographed and pick up GCRTA giveaways, according to the announcement.
General Manager and Chief Executive Officer India L. Birdsong Terry is quoted saying the authority's success rests heavily on customer experience, that a good rider experience must be a necessity rather than an extra, and that putting riders first can speed growth and build durable community ties. The agency also invited all of its employees to take part.
