An OVI checkpoint is scheduled for August 15 from 8 to 10 p.m. in Crawford County, organized by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Crawford County Sheriff's Department. The checkpoint will be located on County Road 330, positioned to the west of U.S. 30 and east of Stetzer Road. Funding for this operation comes from federal grants, focusing on the deterrence and interception of impaired drivers.
In addition to the checkpoint, there will be saturation patrols in the area to effectively confront incidents related to alcohol. Individuals are advised to plan ahead if consuming alcohol by designating a sober driver to ensure safety on the road.
