Mansfield's service department announced on Oct. 5, 2026, that water main repairs will extend a street closure affecting three stretches of roadway on the city's east side. The notice described the closure as an extension of work already under way.
Crews have shut Park Avenue East between Bentley Street and Ashland Road, along with the segment of Ashland Road running from East Fourth Street to Park Avenue East and Park Avenue East from East Fifth Street to Ashland Road.
According to the notice from Don Crose of the City of Mansfield Service, construction signs are in place at the work site, and drivers are encouraged to find another way around to limit delays. The notice states that no vehicles will be allowed through the closed sections.
