A section of East Fifth Street in Mansfield has been shut down so crews can repair a water main, per a notice issued by the City of Mansfield Service Complex.

The closure covers the roadway between Ashland Road and Wayne Street. Construction signs have been placed at the work zone, and the street is already closed while the repairs are carried out, the notice states.

Motorists are encouraged to select a different route, because the notice says no vehicles will be allowed to pass through the affected stretch. According to the city, the street is scheduled to reopen on Oct. 16, 2026.

Don Crose of the City of Mansfield Service is listed as the contact for the notice. The city asks that questions be directed to the City Service Complex by telephone at 419-755-9806. That line is staffed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
