The City of Mansfield Service Complex announced that a section of Sycamore Street was closed starting Sept. 29, 2026, so crews could carry out water main repairs.

The shutdown covers the roadway between Spayer Lane and West Fifth Street. According to the notice, construction signs are being placed at the work zone, vehicles are barred from passing through, and motorists should plan an alternate route in case of delays.

City officials set Oct. 7, 2026, as the target date for reopening the street.

People with questions are directed to call the City Service Complex at 419-755-9806 during weekday business hours, listed as 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The notice is attributed to Don Crose of City of Mansfield Service.

The notice did not describe the extent of the repairs, a specific detour route, or the number of lanes affected. The reopening date is a city estimate and could shift depending on the work.
