The Ohio Department of Transportation began scheduled work on two Columbiana County highways on Sept. 21, 2026, according to WFMJ.

A news release cited by the station says the U.S. Route 30 and State Route 11 interchange near West Point is affected. Ramps are expected to close on Route 30 eastbound and from Route 11 southbound to Route 30 westbound.

WFMJ reports the closure is expected to last 45 days. It also covers Route 30 between State Route 45 and the Route 11 northbound on- and off-ramps.

Drivers can use a suggested detour: Route 11 to State Route 154 west, then back to Route 30.

The work is part of a pavement rehabilitation project on Route 30 and marks the first of five phases, per the station. When this closure ends, the Route 11 northbound ramps from Route 30 are set to close, with a start date to be announced later.

Additional Route 30 sections are slated to close in 2027, and the project's overall completion date is listed as Oct. 31, 2027.
