The Ohio Department of Transportation has scheduled a full closure on State Route 161 in Champaign County. Under the agency's plan, the road will be shut between Bean Road and Bullard-Rutan Road from Monday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Oct. 2 while crews replace a culvert. Motorists will be detoured east on SR 161, south on SR 559, and west on SR 29.
ODOT also reports continuing repaving on SR 55 between Old Troy Pike and U.S. 68. That highway will be limited intermittently to one lane from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through early October, and flaggers will control traffic.
Intermittent single-lane restrictions will stay in place on SR 29 between SR 235 and SR 560 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through September, according to ODOT. Similar intermittent lane limits are scheduled on SR 245 between Brush Lake Road and Gilbert Road during the same hours through September.
On U.S. 68, from SR 55/Lewis B. Moore Drive to Springfield Pike, crews are resurfacing. Lane restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as needed through the fall.
ODOT reminds drivers to slow down, watch for workers, and allow extra time in these work zones.
