The Office of Career-Technical Education published its September 2026 newsletter on September 24, 2026, with updates for Ohio CTE programs.
According to the bulletin, the Ohio Association for Adult and Continuing Education Conference is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the OCLC Conference Center in Dublin, Ohio. Registration is encouraged.
For fiscal matters, FY26 22+ invoices must reach "Invoice Accepted" status by September 30, 2026. The next Adult Workforce Diploma Program payment runs September 28, covering payments approved by 5 p.m. on September 23, with processing taking one to two weeks.
A virtual Adult Workforce Diploma Program professional development event is set for Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon. The finalized Adult Workforce Diploma Program Provider Manual covers participant and provider eligibility, co-enrollment policies including Aspire and AWDP overlap, and prior credit guidance.
On assessments, the newsletter states students should take the aligned assessment for each CTE course completed, preferably near the end of that course, rather than waiting until the end of a program of study. A student is considered to have completed a course at 90 percent enrollment and/or full or partial credit. Retakes may be offered to students below the minimum proficient score.
CETE fall virtual User's Workshops include October 15, 2026, on Program Creation and Activation, held online from 10 to 11 a.m. EDT. WebXam also offers free self-paced learning modules.
For lead districts of career-technical planning districts, FY2026 Carl D. Perkins Secondary final expenditure reports are due in OFA by September 30, 2026. Perkins Monitoring self-assessments open October 5, 2026, for selected districts. Registration is open for the New Perkins Administrator's Workshop on October 19, 2026, in Columbus. A Business/Finance/Marketing Pathway Instructor Workshop is set for October 30.
The CBI Fall Conference follows a November 8 social night, with the conference on November 9, 2026, in Dublin.
