The Career Awareness and CTE Associated Services Survey has been distributed to career-technical planning district superintendents, superintendent designees and treasurers, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced.

According to the bulletin, CTPD administrators are expected to involve their teams when reviewing the requested information and when coordinating how the survey is submitted. That joint review is described as a way to make sure the submitted material accurately reflects the use of Career Awareness and Exploration Funds and CTPD Associated Services Funds in supporting career-technical education and career development activities.

DEW said the collected information will aid transparency, compliance monitoring and preparation for upcoming statewide reporting requirements.

The Office of Career-Technical Education is listed as the point of contact for questions.

The bulletin also restates the department's commitment to access, inclusion and reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable laws. Accommodation requests may be directed to ADAaccommodation@education.ohio.gov or 614-387-7716 (voice). The stated deadlines are at least 14 days, and no fewer than three business days (72 hours), before an event; requests arriving inside 72 hours may not be accommodated, though DEW says it will make every effort.

The notice adds that career-technical education programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age, and that limited English proficiency is not a barrier to admission or participation.
