Ohio education data meeting Sept. 18 focuses on attendance

The Ohio Education Data Professional Network’s September meeting is scheduled for Sept. 18 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., according to an Ohio Department of Education and Workforce bulletin.

Patrick Hickman of the Office of Family Engagement and School Partnerships and Jessica Lauric of the Office of Accountability are listed as presenters. The session is tied to Attendance Awareness Month.

The agenda covers local policies concerning chronic absenteeism and tools for examining attendance data, including Ohio’s Attendance Dashboard and the Secure Data Center. The bulletin links presentation slides on the network webpage and invites advance questions at datanetwork@education.ohio.gov.

A separate invitation in the bulletin asks stakeholders to test a new design for the department’s website during virtual, one-on-one research sessions. Registration for that research closes Sept. 24; it is separate from the Sept. 18 data meeting.
