The Ohio Pupil Transportation Office has notified districts of a further DRIVES problem, this one involving the T-1 ridership report. In a bulletin dated Oct. 16, 2026, the office said it had identified the day before that the T-1 report in DRIVES has no auto-save function.

As described, the system permits only a single manual save, and that option appears solely on the last screen of the T-1 report. To reach it, supervisors must finish whatever data entry they are working on even when the data is not complete, add a comment noting the report remains in progress, and move on to the third screen, where the SAVE button sits at the bottom. The bulletin refers readers to screenshots for that screen.

After that save, the T-1 stays in the supervisor's workflow, providing one more chance to edit and update it. Following a second edit, the report has to be moved to REVIEWED status before the data will save. That step forwards the T-1 to the Treasurer and/or Superintendent, who have the option to decline it, sending it back to the supervisor for more editing or data entry. DEW staff may decline it as well.

The office stressed that the data will not save unless the report's status or workflow changes. It apologized for any disruption to districts and thanked them for their patience while other outstanding DRIVES issues are addressed.
