A state committee that reviews industry-recognized credentials for K-12 students has scheduled a public meeting for Sept. 23 at 1 p.m., according to a bulletin from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

The K-12 Industry-Recognized Credential Review Committee will gather at the department's office at 25 S Front Street in Columbus, the notice states. The bulletin also lists a Microsoft Teams option for remote attendance, though it notes that joining online does not allow participants to give public comment.

According to the notice, the panel will not take up new credential applications at this session. General questions about the meeting should go to industrycredentials@education.ohio.gov.

Agenda materials and virtual attendance details are posted on the department's public meeting notice webpage.

The bulletin states that the department provides access and inclusion, along with reasonable accommodations, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws. Requests tied to a disability must reach the ADA coordinator by Sept. 21 at ADAaccommodation@education.ohio.gov or 614-369-4919. The notice says requests filed within 72 hours of the meeting may not be accommodated, although the department said it will make every effort to do so.
