A state advisory panel focused on dropout prevention and recovery has set its next meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 22, according to an Ohio Department of Education and Workforce bulletin.

The Dropout Prevention and Recovery Advisory Council will convene from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the department's offices at 25 S. Front Street in Columbus. The session is open to the public.

According to the notice, people unable to come in person can take part virtually; the department directs interested parties to register to receive connection details and points them to its public meeting webpage for updates.

General inquiries about the meeting should go to Katie Beahr, the notice states.

The department describes a commitment to access and inclusion and to providing reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws. Requests tied to a disability go to the ADA coordinator at ADAaccommodation@education.ohio.gov or 614-369-4919, with a deadline of Sept. 17. The notice advises that requests made within 72 hours of the event might not be accommodated, though the department says it will make every effort to do so.
