Athens County residents who sustained property effects from flooding on Sept. 19–20, 2026, can use two channels to notify the county emergency management agency, according to a notice published by the Athens County Independent.
Damage reports may be sent by email to stormdamage@athensco911.gov. People who lack internet service can call 740-566-4368 instead.
The EMA asks submissions to include the resident’s name, street address and telephone number, along with four or five photographs documenting the affected area. Callers are asked to describe the damage briefly.
The same telephone number, 740-566-4368, is listed for questions. According to the notice, messages will receive a return call.
