Chagrin Falls Exempted Village Schools received Five Stars overall on Ohio's 2025-26 School Report Card, according to the Geauga County Maple Leaf. Each of the district's four schools also drew the state's highest overall rating.
The district's 100.9% Performance Index placed third among 607 traditional public school districts statewide, the report said, with seventh place in Gap Closing and 12th in Early Literacy. Sixty-one traditional districts earned an overall Five-Star rating. Superintendent Jennifer Penczarski said the rating's value lies in looking past a single score, and that the district's Performance Index has exceeded 100% for five straight years.
Growth areas were also noted: Intermediate School growth met rather than exceeded state expectations, and the Middle School's Performance Index fell from 101.3% the prior year to 96.9%.
Other items covered included the second annual Booster Club Cubs to Tigers event, where the Class of 2027 greeted the Class of 2039; a homecoming parade Sept. 16; senior Harper Stewart crowned 2026 homecoming queen Sept. 18 and escorted by senior Jude Bidar; and first-time personalization of senior parking spaces.
The district earned the Government Finance Officers Association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, with Penczarski crediting Treasurer Ashley Brudno's office.
