Columbus has issued a construction update for Hilltop 1 covering work planned for the week of Sept. 14, 2026. The bulletin lists integrated solution work, permeable pavers, waterline improvements, and resurfacing among the activities.

S Richardson Ave between Palmetto St and W Broad St is slated for full-depth pavement removal and resurfacing, along with a full road closure.

Crews are also scheduled to clean laterals and make sanitary point repairs on S Hague Ave, Sullivant Ave, S Ogden Ave, and S Warren Ave.

Under the Eureka/Fremont Lateral Lining Project 6, sanitary lateral lining operations are planned for S Terrace Ave, S Eureka Ave, W Broad St, S Oakley Ave, and Sullivant Ave. Palmetto/Westgate Lateral Lining Project 1 covers lateral lining, Vac A Tee, and cleanout installations across that project area, while Project 2 involves lateral locating, cleaning, and CCTV inspections.

The city notes that alley access will be limited and that residents will be notified ahead of lining or cleanout work. Schedules may shift because of weather or site issues. Residents can check the Blueprint map by address, call 614-645-1253, or email blueprint@columbus.gov with questions. Sump pump installations are available for a limited time, with a waitlist for a no-obligation assessment.

For basement backups, the city asks residents to call 614-645-7102. It cautions that responses will not be immediate because crews are investigating issues across the city.
