The City of Columbus will hold its 2026 Human Resources Conference on Oct. 2 at the Creekside Event Center, 101 Mill St., Suite 300, in Gahanna, according to a city bulletin.

The event's theme is "Compassionate Leadership: Why Empathy is Your Superpower!" Check-in starts at 8:15 a.m. and the conference begins at 9 a.m.

Attendees should expect conference materials to be published online. Organizers said they will finalize those documents by midweek and notify attendees once available. Those who want printed copies of the guidebook or agenda are advised to print them beforehand.

Parking options include a limited number of free street spaces near the venue. The bulletin recommends the free underground garage beneath the event center, which uses color coding to guide drivers. Guests heading to the third-floor event space are encouraged to park near the orange section and use the Building B elevator bank.

This year's service project supports Dress for Success and My Brother's Closet. Both groups help area residents seeking work or career advancement who lack professional clothing. Donations of gently used, good-condition business attire are requested, with women's items going to Dress for Success and men's to My Brother's Closet. Financial contributions are also accepted.
