City of Columbus employees can get an annual influenza vaccine at no charge this season under an arrangement between the city and CVS Caremark, according to a bulletin issued September 15, 2026 by the Employee Benefits and Wellness Office.

The notice links vaccination to lower odds of illness, hospitalization and serious flu complications. Employees are told to locate a participating pharmacy within the network, schedule a visit — although some sites accept walk-ins — and carry both a prescription card and photo identification.

Unlike past seasons, the city is not operating on-site flu clinics, the bulletin states. Staff are instead directed to a primary care provider or a nearby pharmacy for the vaccine, and to act before the seasonal peak arrives.

Questions go to the benefits office at 77 North Front Street, First Floor, Columbus, OH 43215. Weekday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the office lists EmployeeBenefitsAndWellness@Columbus.gov as an email contact.
