The City of Columbus is inviting residents to comment on Zone In Phase II, a proposal that would rewrite zoning rules for more mixed-use corridors, industrial and warehouse zones, and large business and institutional campuses across the city, according to a city bulletin.

Public feedback is expected to shape possible revisions to the draft code before any legislation goes forward, the bulletin says. It lists several ways to take part.

An online survey is open through Oct. 24, and the draft zoning code and map are available for review alongside it. A webinar set for Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. via Webex will walk through the Phase II proposal. On Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Zone In team will field questions in a Reddit Ask Me Anything session.

The Zone In Gallery at 141 N. Front Street offers in-person access to the proposal, maps and other materials, with staff available to talk. The city says the gallery is generally open on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., though hours can shift on some days, so visitors are told to check the Zone In website first.

Columbus.gov/zoningupdate is the listed hub for the proposal, the survey and event details. The bulletin does not say what happens after the comment period or when legislation might be introduced.
