Coon's Candy has moved its retail store in Harpster and marked the change with a soft opening held last Wednesday, according to Crawford County Now.
The shop's new address is 16451 County Road 113, roughly a quarter mile north of its prior spot, the outlet reported. Visitors at the soft opening could view the new space, buy candy and sample products.
Owner Raechelle Coons told the outlet she is glad to be hands-on at the relocated store and hopes it draws additional customers. She worked more than three decades on the manufacturing side of the operation and assumed full ownership after her sister's retirement, per the report. The business has run for 109 years and through five generations of the Coons family, the outlet stated.
A grand reopening is scheduled for Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the outlet said it will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open house open to everyone. Additional details are available through coonscandy.com or the company's Facebook page, according to Crawford County Now.
