Indian Lake Development Corporation reviewed recent recreation projects and plans for further improvements during its annual Dredge Day, according to Peak of Ohio's Sept. 19 report.
The outlet reported that a new Chippewa Park shelter house had been completed and dedicated earlier in September. Funding came from a state grant and the corporation. A new accessible kayak launch at the park was also completed this year with help from Northside Neighborhood Watch fundraising and a state grant.
Corporation president Dale Frymyer outlined a proposed playground upgrade at Chippewa Park. Plans include raising the border area and adding pea gravel, with completion estimated for spring 2027.
A separate Lakeview Harbor proposal calls for a gateway sign and a walkway featuring the lake's history. These remain plans described in the report, rather than completed work.
