Knox Pages reported Nov. 1, 2026, that four Kenyon College students received the Austin E. Knowlton Memorial Scholarship, with one recipient from each class. The award supports Ohioans pursuing mathematics and related fields, according to the report. The recipients are Yasha Cohen, a first-year from Beachwood; Noah Bartlett, a sophomore from Hudson; Sarah Keller, a junior from Brunswick; and Cynthia Stevens, a senior from Columbus.

The report said the Knowlton Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2014 by the Austin E. Knowlton Foundation and provides financial aid across four years at Kenyon. Cohen, who belongs to the squash club, plans to finish a physics degree in three years and then study engineering at Washington University in St. Louis through a partnership with Kenyon. Bartlett is on the track team, intends to major in chemistry and join a research lab, and also takes part in Club Swim and the volleyball club.

Keller is a physics major with a Spanish minor; her sister Samantha is in Kenyon’s Class of 2030. Keller plays clarinet in the Knox County Symphony, sings with the Take Five jazz a cappella group, works as a residence-hall Community Advisor and tutors local Latine community members through Hola. Stevens, a mathematics major, aims to earn a math doctorate and teach at the college level. She is an Eagle Scout, an adult troop leader in Columbus and a member of the Kenyon Community Choir.

The report also described Austin E. Knowlton, known as Dutch, as chair and owner of Knowlton Construction Company, which completed more than 600 projects in Ohio and the Midwest, and said he worked to help Ohioans earn college degrees.
