A portion of State Route 511 in Ashland County is scheduled to be closed for railroad crossing repairs starting Monday, Oct. 26, the Ohio Department of Transportation said in a press release issued Wednesday.

The affected stretch runs between U.S. 224 and Township Road 150. CSX Transportation is carrying out the work, which ODOT described as maintenance to refurbish the crossing.

According to ODOT, northbound traffic on Route 511 will be directed east on U.S. 224, then north on State Route 58 and west on State Route 162 back to Route 511. The same route applies in the opposite direction.

ODOT listed an estimated completion date of Wednesday, Oct. 28. The release did not specify a time of day for the closure or reopening.

The announcement covers a state route segment in Ashland County; the release did not describe local access arrangements for properties along the closed section.
