Old 30 BBQ in Bucyrus, Ohio, has reached 11 years in operation and is planning a slate of events and promotions, according to co-owner Austin Smith. The restaurant has been adding menu items and specials, with Smith noting that its core offerings have stayed largely consistent over the years. In the past year, specials included a brisket grilled cheese sandwich and smoked bourbon chicken.

Upcoming plans include The Rockhouse Halloween Party on October 24 at The Venue at Old 30 BBQ. The band Rockhouse is set to perform, and the event will feature seasonal drinks and a costume party. The restaurant also holds trivia each Wednesday, and October will include theme nights.

A gift card promotion will run through Christmas, offering a free jar of BBQ sauce for every $50 in gift cards purchased. Smith described the promotion as a stocking stuffer and a gift for holiday parties.

Old 30 BBQ provides off-site catering for events such as weddings and large company parties. It also hosts larger gatherings, including holiday parties and weddings, at The Venue at Old 30 across the street. Smith said the restaurant aims to offer more than typical barbecue, using smoked meats in family-friendly dishes such as loaded BBQ tots, nachos, mac & cheese, flatbreads and potatoes.
