Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers assigned to the Xenia Post were sent into Greene County on Sunday morning after a crash involving three vehicles was reported, according to an OSHP dispatcher.

The dispatch occurred at roughly 10:36 a.m. and sent troopers to the junction of State Route 72 North and South River Road, the dispatcher said.

WHIO-TV's initial account carried no information on injuries, how many people were in the vehicles, what caused the collision, or whether traffic was restricted at the intersection. The station said additional details were not immediately available.

According to the same report, station crews were traveling toward the location and the story would be updated as more information emerged.

No drivers or passengers were identified, no vehicle descriptions were given, and the report did not say whether the crash remained under investigation or whether any citations had been issued.

The account was published Sunday afternoon, shortly after the dispatch time, while the response was still developing.
