Pickaway County Common Pleas Court has rolled out a new jury management system, according to an announcement from Judge Matthew H. Chafin. An Ohio Court Technology Grant covers the full cost of the upgrade.

Summons notifications have changed under the new system. Residents called for jury duty will receive an Official Court Summons Postcard through the mail rather than the traditional paper mailing used previously.

The court stated that the postcards are genuine court documents and not a scam. According to the announcement, a QR code on the card is safe to scan.

Scanning that code directs recipients to the court's new digital Juror Portal, where they can check in, fill out a questionnaire, and sign up for text or email updates. Judge Chafin described jury service as an important civic duty and said the goal is to make the process as hassle-free as possible.
