Moviegoers in Crawford and Richland counties have three October options at Mansfield's Renaissance Theatre, according to the venue's announced 2026 Spooky Season lineup.

The series opens Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. with a free screening of The Silence of the Lambs. Reservations must be made in advance. The showing is part of Ohio Goes to the Movies, described as a Signature Event of America 250-Ohio that runs from mid-February through October 2026 and spotlights Ohio's film connections, including actors, directors, writers, composers, locations and subjects. The source notes the film's fictional Ohio town of Belvedere and the real Bellaire Bridge in Bellaire, Ohio; actor Ted Levine, who played Jame Gumb, was born in Bellaire.

On Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m., F.W. Murnau's 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu screens with live accompaniment by organist Jay Spencer on the theatre's Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. The organ was originally installed at Warner Brothers' Vitaphone studios in 1929, later owned by actor Joseph Kearns, and arrived at the Renaissance in 1985, per the source. Tickets start at $10.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show follows Saturday, Oct. 31 at 10 p.m. Admission is $6.66, or $16.66 with an official prop bag, available at Will Call. The event includes callbacks, costumes and the "Time Warp"; organizers ask attendees not to bring their own props. A costume contest will honor the late Tim Curry. Nosferatu ticket-holders receive free admission the next night, while Rocky Horror ticketholders who show a Nosferatu ticket get free popcorn.

Tickets are available at rentickets.org or the box office at 419-522-2726, 138 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.
