A Roundhead resident who works at Ohio Northern University has published her third poetry collection.

Jessica Weyer Bentley marked the Wednesday release of "As My Father Lay Dying," according to LimaOhio.com. The 36-page book was issued by Finishing Line Press.

Reviewer David O'Nan characterized the collection as a work about grief, memory and resilience, saying its poems were shaped by tragedy and turn loss toward connection, healing and enduring love, LimaOhio.com reported. O'Nan wrote that the poems honor Bentley's father, who died early in her life, and extend a sense of solidarity to readers dealing with grief.

Two earlier Bentley collections preceded this one. "Crimson Sunshine" was published in May 2020, and "Down Below Where the Canary Sings" followed in May 2023.
