Fire crews in Stark County were sent Monday afternoon to a collision between a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck on Great Lakes Boulevard NW, near Arcadia Street NW, according to the Canal Fulton-Lawrence Township Fire Department.
The department reported that one person was trapped. On arrival, firefighters found the car badly damaged and began steadying the wreckage, treating the occupant and freeing that person from the vehicle. EMS personnel provided medical care during the operation, the department said.
No details about the condition of either driver were released. The department thanked everyone who responded and helped at the scene, and used the incident to remind motorists to reduce speed on wet roads and leave space for emergency crews to work.
