Summit County Animal Control has cut its dog adoption fee for the entire month of November, dropping the price to $28 from $98, the agency said in a press release.
The promotion is billed as "FURever Thankful" and was announced through the office of Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro.
According to Animal Control, every dog adopted through the event arrives microchipped and fully vetted, ready to go home with its new owner. Each adoption also includes a 2026 Summit County Dog License at no extra charge.
People who want to look at available dogs can check the agency's Facebook page or its website before visiting.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 330-643-2845, or prospective adopters can stop in during regular business hours. The Summit County Division of Animal Control is at 250 Opportunity Parkway in Akron.
The release did not say how many dogs are available or whether the reduced price applies to other animals at the shelter.
