Teays Valley's football team heads to Reynoldsburg on Friday at 7 p.m. for an Ohio Capital Conference game. The Circleville Herald reports the Vikings are 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play after a 6-0 loss to Lancaster last Friday, a game in which Teays Valley's offense was shut out and managed 80 total yards despite reaching the Lancaster 41-yard line on its opening drive and the 25 later in the first half, failing to convert on fourth down both times.
The Vikings' running game has shown promise. The Herald notes Landen Slusser scored on runs of 52 and 60 yards in a 35-14 win over Bloom-Carroll, while Evan Maynard and Clayton Graley also found the end zone in that victory; Graley added a two-point conversion in the season opener against Westland. Through the air, Landon Helser threw touchdown passes to Dolan Antle and Braelon Herron, per the Herald.
Reynoldsburg enters at 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Herald reports the Raiders' offense averages 151.8 total yards per game, with Kavion Davis averaging 102 rushing yards and quarterback Justin Heckman averaging 136 passing yards per contest.
Teays Valley will look to Slusser, Maynard, Graley, Helser, Antle and Herron to revive an offense that was held scoreless last week.
