Versiti schedules four Preble County blood drives in October

Versiti Blood Center of Ohio has scheduled four community blood drives in Preble County in October, according to the announcement.

The earliest is set for Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Preble Shawnee High School, 5495 Somers Gratis Road in Camden, from 8 a.m. to noon. A second drive follows Thursday, Oct. 8, from noon to 6 p.m. at Eaton Community, 813 Camden Road.

Camden Community hosts a drive Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at 35 N. Liberty St. The last of the four is Thursday, Oct. 22, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Preble County YMCA, 450 Washington Jackson Road in Eaton.

Appointments can be made by calling 937-461-3220, or online at VersitiDayton.org, the announcement says. Walk-ins are also welcome.

According to the announcement, donations aid patients who are in cancer treatment, having surgery, living with chronic conditions, or healing from traumatic injuries, and every appointment helps bolster the supply that hospitals and communities can draw on.
