Versiti Blood Center of Ohio is planning three community blood drives in Clinton County during October, according to the Wilmington News Journal, with a stated goal of serving local hospital patients and keeping the region's blood supply steady.

The published schedule lists a Thursday, Oct. 1 drive at Wilmington College, 300 Quaker Way in Wilmington. A second drive is set for Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Vitu, 3268 Progress Way, Wilmington. The third, identified as the Wilmington Community Drive, is Tuesday, Oct. 13 at First Christian Church, 120 Columbus St., Wilmington.

Versiti says blood collected at these events benefits people undergoing cancer treatment or surgery, those living with chronic conditions and patients recovering from traumatic injuries.

Walk-in donors will be accepted, but Versiti encourages community members to reserve a time in advance. Appointments can be made by calling 937-461-3220 or online at versitidayton.org.

The announcement did not include drive hours or additional locations. As of the draft date of Sept. 29, 2026, all three drives were still ahead.
