How to find your Ohio county government website

Start with the Ohio Secretary of State’s county roster, then confirm the department and service on the county’s own website.

If you need a county government service, start by identifying the county responsible for the location involved. The Ohio Secretary of State’s Local Government: Counties directory lists county names, county seats and website links.

Select your county and follow its website link. On the county website, look for the department that handles your question, then check that department’s current contact details and service instructions. Use the actual service page when checking an application or office visit.

The roster explains that its information is submitted by government entities during the period shown on the directory. Treat it as a starting point: a directory entry may not reflect a later website or contact change. If a link fails, confirm the current address through the responsible county office before sending personal information.

Keep the official service page handy so that you can recheck details before acting. This guide does not claim that every county offers the same services or application process.
