Cleveland has announced another round of Steelyard Tax Increment Financing grants, distributing $253,000 to neighborhood businesses and a community development corporation. The city announced the awards on September 2.
This round includes 24 small businesses and one community development corporation. The recipients represent Ohio City, Tremont, Old Brooklyn, Clark-Fulton, Slavic Village and Lorain Station, according to the city.
Funded work includes business expansion, infrastructure improvements, public art and projects intended to improve neighborhood commercial areas. Slavic Village Development is listed as the placemaking grant recipient.
The city says the program has awarded a total of $1.38 million to 84 small businesses and six community development corporations since its 2025 relaunch. The latest announcement concerns awarded funding; it does not announce a new application opening. Residents can find the named recipients in the official release.
