GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Liquor permits for two bars in this Cuyahoga County city have been revoked, the Garfield Heights Police Department announced in a release circulated on social media.
The department named the businesses as Iconic Ultra Lounge at 4912 Turney Road and Aries Lounge at 4619 Warner Road. According to police, the revocations followed investigations at both addresses that stretched over several years. The release did not describe what those investigations examined or what findings preceded the action.
Both bars have appealed to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, police said, and the revocations remain in effect while those appeals are pending.
The department also cautioned that alcohol service at either site now violates Ohio liquor law, adding that anyone found doing so could be issued a criminal summons or arrested. Officials urged residents to pass the information along to people who frequent the two locations.
No statements from either business were included in the police release, and the department did not cite specific court filings in its announcement. The release did not identify which agency issued the revocations or give a date for when they took effect.
