Four Jackson Center seniors toured the Airstream factory in Jackson Center on Tuesday as part of a Manufacturing Day event arranged by Workforce Partnership, according to the Sidney Daily News.
Krista Lyle, Elizabeth Oen, Haidyn Bensman and Lilly Davis were shown around the plant, the newspaper reported. Ohio Rep. Tim Barhorst and Shelby County Commissioners Bruce Metz and Julie Ehemann also accompanied the group, and Metz presented the manufacturer with a proclamation.
The students were told about the various positions the company offers and about employee benefits, which the report said include a doctor's office available on site at no cost.
The account, built from a staff photograph caption, did not say how many students took part in total, what text the proclamation contained, or whether other manufacturers hosted similar Manufacturing Day visits in the area. Luke Gronneberg photographed the students for the Sidney Daily News.
