A water main repair project has shut down a section of West Longview Avenue in Mansfield, according to a notice from the City of Mansfield Service Complex. The affected stretch runs between North Mulberry Street and Bowman Street, with construction signs posted at the work zone.

The closure began at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2026, the same day the notice was issued. Because this brief was drafted that afternoon, the restriction was already in effect rather than upcoming. City officials stated that vehicles will not be permitted through the work area at any point during the project, and they advised motorists to choose another route to limit the chance of congestion.

The road is scheduled to reopen Nov. 3, 2026, according to the notice. Don Crose of the City of Mansfield Service is listed as the contact for the announcement.

People with questions may call the City Service Complex at 419-755-9806 during weekday business hours, which the notice lists as 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The announcement did not describe the scope of the water main work, how many properties or customers might be affected, or whether water service interruptions were anticipated.
