The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce's Office of Career-Technical Education has scheduled the Ohio CTE Capacity Survey to open Nov. 2, 2026, and close Nov. 20, 2026. The October newsletter says districts will get a separate survey for each approved CTE workforce development pathway, with responses meant to inform state planning on access, workforce alignment, barriers and resources. An informational webinar is set for Oct. 29, 2026.

The office also said FY27 CTE Teacher Licensure Override applications begin Nov. 2. The FY27 CTE Program of Concentration final correction opportunity runs through Nov. 9, and the FY27 Initial Exiting Student Follow Up collection is open through Jan. 5.

For Industry Credential Only programs, the Department described a multiyear redesign. It plans to open applications for the redesigned model in 2027-28, implement it in 2028-29, establish accountability benchmarks in 2029-30 and begin the first accountability year under a redesigned Quality Program Review framework in 2030-31. Transitional guidance calls for one-year approvals for existing programs whose approvals expire this school year and for new applications. Starting next school year, existing programs must apply using the updated Industry-Recognized Credential List.

QPR data release and performance notifications are planned for January 2027, followed by district data review and action-plan work in January-February 2027. Regional technical assistance workshops are planned for March 2027.
