The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has posted Spring 2026 end-of-course released items online, replacing earlier scoring guides with an online Item Release Library in the Ohio State Tests Portal. The portal also carries crosswalk documents and prior scoring guides.

Registration is open for the Grit Lab 101 2026-27 cohort, offered with the Duckworth Lab at the University of Pennsylvania and hosted on INFOhio OpenSpace. The department said sign-up continues through the end of October and includes course materials, implementation support, and other resources.

For financial literacy licensure validation, Ohio districts can seek reimbursement of up to $500 per educator under state law. The department said forms submitted by Dec. 1 will be processed in December, while later submissions will be handled in June.

A request for applications is open for a recommended list of kindergarten through grade five high-quality core math materials for 2026-2027. The bulletin lists an Oct. 30 intent deadline and a Nov. 30 application deadline.

The state is also inviting student teams in grades 6-12 to submit original lunch recipes using at least one Ohio Proud on the Menu ingredient. Five finalists will compete live, and the winner is slated to demonstrate at the 2027 Ohio State Fair.

Other items include school garden produce-safety lesson plans, an ODNR geology event on Nov. 7 at Alum Creek State Park, and an Ohio World Language Association meetup on Nov. 12 for early-career teachers. The department notes that listed resources have been screened but inclusion is not an endorsement.
