WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — A 3-year-old mixed-breed dog named Arya is available for adoption at the Wood County Dog Shelter, according to a Nov. 4 report from WTVG. The station said Arya had been at the shelter since early September and that staff refer to her as a long-stay resident.

Shelter staff told WTVG that Arya serves as the office dog and is trusted in the lobby. The report described her as friendly with visitors and other dogs, fond of playing ball, and responsive to commands including sitting, lying down and dropping the ball. Staff characterized her energy level as moderate and said she settles well indoors. According to the station, Arya is spayed, vaccinated and heartworm negative, and staff have not observed health concerns.

WTVG said Arya can be adopted now. The segment is part of Community Critters with Nia Joseph, which features local adoptable animals. The source text did not include independent confirmation of her availability or medical status.
