County-level figures from AAA showed Auglaize County at the low end, $3.77 per gallon, and Clark County at the high end, $4.15.
In Montgomery County, GasBuddy listed $3.97 as the lowest price at several Dayton locations Thursday morning, according to the report. GasBuddy's Patrick De Haan said Ohio would be paying close to Michigan's level, which he said is well above $4, if the state had not suspended its gas tax.
De Haan also said price forecasting is difficult while the Iran War and the Russia-Ukraine war remain unresolved. He expected prices to decrease in the coming weeks, the report said. AAA's figures were reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, while the GasBuddy check was described as Thursday morning. The figures are station-level and county-level snapshots and can change.
