Burton Public Library, at 14588 W. Park St., has several programs listed for area residents. Published author John Gipson will lead a novel-writing series; attendees are encouraged to complete all sessions, and sign-up is required. A separate craft session covers making mandalas from recycled records. Local filmmakers of all ages will show short films, with popcorn available.

The Kids Art Show opening is planned as a community celebration for young artists, including first-place awards and refreshments. Artwork will remain on view Nov. 12-24 during regular hours, with weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

RockAbility members will lead a music session for people with developmental disabilities, using music therapy methods to build rhythm and melody skills. Teens in grades 8-12 can make custom mini-waffles and play board games; registration is required. The library’s holiday tradition accepts entries Nov. 23 and 24, with forms available at the building or online.

Unless a program is marked otherwise, registration is not needed. The library lists 440-834-4466 and burtonlibrary.org for more information.
