Cleveland residents considering an electric bicycle have a new rebate program to look into. The city and Bike Cleveland announced a pilot offering up to 100 rebates for purchases through participating local bicycle shops.
The program includes a $500 standard rebate for permanent Cleveland residents aged 18 or older. A $1,500 income-qualified rebate is available to residents meeting the age and residency requirements whose household income is no more than 80% of the Cleveland Area Median Income, according to the announcement.
The city listed September 1, 2026, as the opening date for applications at EBikeCleveland.com. Recipients are to be chosen through an independently conducted random drawing if demand exceeds the available rebates.
Residents should check the program website for current availability, eligible bicycles, participating shops and application requirements before making a purchase.
