Cleveland has introduced Rave as its official notification service, giving residents and others a way to receive information about emergencies, major events and community updates. The city announced the launch on August 17.
Subscribers can select how they want to be contacted, including text messages, emails or voice calls. They can also choose notification categories and the geographic areas they want to follow, according to the city.
Registration is free. The city directs new subscribers to its Rave Alert System page and Smart911 registration service. People who already have an account are encouraged to check that their contact details and notification preferences are current.
