Columbus employees have an Oct. 26 to Nov. 27 window to elect 2027 benefits, according to a reminder bulletin from the city's Employee Benefits and Wellness (EBW) office dated Oct. 23, 2026.

EBW said it will distribute guidance and materials throughout the enrollment period. Two live sessions are scheduled: a CVS pharmacy plan webinar on Oct. 29, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m., and a MetLife webinar on Nov. 4, 2026, from noon to 12:45 p.m. addressing the city's life insurance and short-term disability coverage. Recordings of earlier sessions are also available — one with CME Federal Credit Union on HSA and high-deductible health plan topics, and one with Anthem and VSP on medical and vision coverage, per the notice.

The bulletin directs employees to confirm beneficiary designations and contact details, with changes made through Dayforce.

Workers enrolled in a high-deductible health plan can sign up for a health savings account through CME, the office said. The city deposits $600 into individual accounts and $1,200 into family accounts, and the money can go toward medical expenses, prescriptions and eyeglasses.

EBW's office is located at 77 North Front St., first floor, Columbus, and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the bulletin states.

Employees with questions are directed to the office's email address.
